Inaugural Insurance Day April 23-24 Includes Seminar, Other Activities
Eastern Kentucky University’s Risk Management and Insurance program will host its inaugural EKU Insurance Day with activities April 23-24, including a continuing education seminar highlighted by a presentation from the Kentucky Commissioner of Insurance.
EKU I-Day will provide updates and information important for all sectors of the risk management and insurance industry and feature a variety of speakers, including Hank Watkins, president of Lloyd’s of North America; Chuck Chamness, president and CEO, National Association of Mutual Insurance Cos.; Tom Coffey, Landmark Brokerage; and David Popplewell, president, Cincinnati Life Insurance Co.
Sharon Clark, Commissioner of Insurance for Kentucky, will kick off the seminar portion of the conference on April 24, discussing regulatory and market issues faced by Kentucky insurers and agents.
The seminar, scheduled at the EKU Center for the Arts from 8:20 a.m. to 4 p.m. with registration and breakfast at 7:30 a.m., has been approved for six hours of continuing education credit in insurance.
Additional EKU I-Day activities include a golf tournament and reception/dinner and silent auction on April 23 at The Arlington Club.
Fees for EKU I-Day are:
· $90, April 24 seminar (includes breakfast, lunch and all materials)
· $85, April 23 four-man golf scramble at Arlington at noon (includes green fees and cart, goodie bag and reception/dinner following the tournament)
· $25, April 23 5:30 p.m. reception, dinner and silent auction at Arlington
