Ceirra Thompson, of Lexington, a senior risk management and insurance major at Eastern Kentucky University, has received a $5,000 national scholarship from the Derek Hughes/NAPSLO Educational Foundation.
The scholarship was established to further the study of insurance and encourage, support and reward exceptional students who have an interest in an insurance career.
