EKU's Phi Beta Lambda Captures Top Awards at National Academic Competition

America’s best and brightest college students gathered in Anaheim, California, June 24-27 for the 2017 Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference (NLC). The conference drew thousands of future business leaders to compete in academic events, share successes, and learn new ideas about shaping their careers through workshops and exhibits.

Dalton Stanley and Wendi SmithAmong this group of exceptionally talented and motivated individuals were students from EKU's chapter of Phi Beta Lambda. Encouraged by the financial, academic, and moral support of their advisor Dr. Marcel Robles, department chair Dr. Lana Carnes, associate dean Dr. Ed Davis, and college dean Dr. Tom Erekson, the students performed exceptionally well. Fifteen students from EKU attended the conference, and thirteen placed. Individual students brought home a combination of $2,500 in cash awards.
