Scholar Athlete: Jacob Abbott
Sophomore Jacob Abbott (Lexington) is one of a very select group of scholar athletes to earn the OVC Medal of Honor.
The OVC Academic Medal of Honor is given annually to the student-athletes who achieve the highest grade-point-average in a conference-sponsored sport.
Abbott, who plays infield on EKU's baseball team, was among 24 Eastern honorees. From Lafayette High School, he is a three-time academic all-state honoree.
