RICHMOND — The Richmond Garden Club has presented its second horticulture scholarship to Ian Owens.

A native of Somerset and a graduate of Somerset Community College, Owens is a greenhouse management and business major at Eastern Kentucky University.

EKU School of Business Student Receives BCA Scholarship

Two Eastern Kentucky University students recently received the Allen D. Engle Scholarship from the Bluegrass Compensation Association. The $500 scholarship was awarded on August 22 during the year-end roundtable meeting of BCA members.

Management Professor Teaches in Germany, Presents Work in Ireland

Engle Sr., professor of management in the School of Business at Eastern Kentucky University, returned recently from teaching a three-week course on human resource management in Berlin, Germany to a class of 53 students in the Master's in European Business Program at the Ecole Superior de Commerce a Paris (ESCP-Europe).
