Leadership Excellence for Middle Managers

The Leadership Excellence for Middle Managers program was created in 2007, and total of 87 managers have completed the course, representing 11 companies and seven units within EKU.

Dr. Mike Roberson serves as the Academic Coordinator and Lead Instructor for the program, and Dr. Marcel Robles also serves as an instructor.

Six EKU Students Receive Patterson Scholarships

RICHMOND, Ky. – Six Eastern Kentucky University students have received the Patterson Scholarship, awarded to students in EKU’s Department of Management and Marketing.

A team of five Eastern Kentucky University accounting majors came in second place at the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accounts’ annual Promote and Encourage Accounting in Kentucky (PEAK) competition in Louisville, April 27.

Wiedmar Selected for 2012 S.J. Garner Student Excellence Award

EKU's PGA Golf Management program is pleased to announce that Katie Wiedmar has been selected as recipient of the S.J. Garner Student Excellence Award for 2011-2012. Weidmar is a senior Marketing, PGA Golf Management Option major from Louisville, Ky. She received the award at the PGA Golf Management spring awards banquet in April.

Craig Corcoran, junior from Broadview Heights, Oh., received the 2012 Director’s Award for his service and dedication to Eastern Kentucky University's PGA Golf Management program for the academic year. He received the award at the PGA Golf Management spring awards banquet in April.

EKU's School of Business and the College of Business and Technology are pleased to announce the induction of business students into the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. The new members were honored at a formal induction ceremony on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, in the Executive Conference Room of the Business and Technology Center on the EKU campus.

An Eastern Kentucky University senior is now well on her way to turning her business concept into a true business venture after winning $1,000 in cash and an offer of donated office space.
